While not an official UK government opinion, the Secretary of Defense has called for a ban on Electronic Arts' upcoming Medal of Honor first-person shooter. This continues a backlash over being able to play as the Taliban during multiplayer.
The controversy surrounding EA's Medal of Honor continues to swirl with the latest salvo coming from British Secretary of Defense, Liam Fox. The game is set during the early days of the current war in Afghanistan and follows "Tier 1 Operators" as they conduct operations behind enemy lines against the Taliban. The part that Fox and others find objectionable is the multiplayer portion of the game which allows players to play as terrorists.
