In the midst of all the good news surrounding Nintendo with their Wii sales booming beyond measure in Japan, it is quite suprising to hear that the PS3 actually managed to hit the '1 million consoles sold' mark this week. This is definitely better than Microsoft who have only managed 420000 plus units sold.

New research indicates that PlayStation 3 sales in Japan have exceeded the one million mark in the roughly eight months since launch.

Not bad considering PS3's price. They only really have two consoles, anyways, because Microsoft's 360 is being denied in Japan. Perhaps it's the suckers for Final Fantasy that bought the majority of these xD Good enough for me to get one, too
