Rockstar Games announced the release of Table Tennis (which first appeared on the Xbox 360) for the Wii later this Fall.

The game will presumably be played with the tennis-peripheral, or at least something similar to it. Offering fast graphics, a fluid design and intense gameplay, Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis is sure to be a crowd pleaser for the Wii community.

"Ever since we released Table Tennis, fans have been asking us to create a Wii version," said Sam Houser, Founder and Executive Producer of Rockstar Games. "By bringing Table Tennis to the Wii and utilizing the motion-sensitive Wii Remote™, a new audience can now experience a game that is beautifully designed and impossible to put down."

    Awesome.

First Manhunt 2, now Table Tennis.

I can't wait to try out this game with the Wii remote.

Only if they have online, otherwise this may get tiring fast.

As long as it's 100x better than the table tennis that came with wiiplay I'll be happy.

That's true. Online play is a must. There's no reason not to include online play in Table Tennis. Especially since lots of Wii games feature online play now.

This game was such a let down on the 360, I can only imagine it will be the same =/

The controls need to be more fleshed out. If it's the same basic motions as Wii Sports Tennis, then this will suck out loud.

I had a feeling this was coming to the Wii. Hopefully this doesn't another turn out to be Wii Sports tennis, or it'll be fun for about a week.

I thought this was inevitable, really. Rockstar announced that they would support the Wii, and Manhunt 2 isn't really too much support considering the very limited audience it has. They don't seem willing to bring GTA4, either, so this made the most sense. Personally, I didn't really like the game the first time around, but I know a lot of people who would want this.

I do hope they give it some good, deep controls. Even though I won't be buying it, I'm sure a few of my friends eventually will and I'll probably end up playing it just like the 360 game. Wii Sports Tennis was simple, but it was supposed to be. This should sport some more realistic movements.

Cool, but too similar to WiiSports tennis, I'd assume.

I like playing Table Tennis, as a sport. I'm hoping the controls are a lot more inventive than Table Tennis on Wii Play, because that disappointed me.

Table Tennis is pretty good, but I prefer actual Tennis Like the Virtua Tennis series was fun. Rather play Table Tennis IRL than through a game.
