A Rant On Bosses: Final Fantasy & Shank

Halo 3 is considered Microsoft's prized game, that is said to boost the sales of the console expenentially. However, it seems that GamerSquad have gotten news that Halo 3 WONT be playable online.
Multiplayer will still be an option via LAN and Split-Screen, however when it comes to playing the game over XBOX Live, it seems that Bungie are struggling to get the game running "niggle-free" over the Live service.
"We're not dumb," explained Bungie's Frank O'Connor. "We know that people want it and we're trying to make it happen. I think the biggest problem for us for online co-op is that we have a situation where you can be in a Warthog with five troops, almost a mile away from the other player. That's a significant challenge. And there's lots of design things you could do to prevent that from happening, but they would make it not feel like Halo anymore. If we can make it happen in a way that works well, we will - and if it works badly, we won't."
[update] We have also managed to get our hands on not one, not two but 29 scans from the game (courtesy of GameTrailers), which will allow you to read the article yourself, and decide for yourself if the new additions to the game are worth the fact that there will be no more online coop mode.

They really need to bring it if they're going to impress more than games like Resistance have. 16 player online deathmatches are a thing of the past.
They will probably just release a later version so you waste your money first ¬¬
It is quite a blow for Halo fans though. Part of the joy of Halo 2 was the playing it online and this game is looking even more impressive than that ...
They may be able to sort something out ??
Why does anyone care in the slightest bit if you can't do an online co-op mode? Invite your friend over and play together that way. Big deal.
I'm not going to get it anyway.
However don't get me fooled though, I like halo, but if they choose not to use co-op it may smell trouble for some halo fans.
My suggestion is they hold back the game until they fix the problem. Similar to what tidus04 said.
That's the most mis-leading sentence ever. It's only the co-op that's not going to be playable so far. Don't forget that they also haeve the option to put online co-op in a patch after the game's release.
I love it when you guys post articles with titles that are totally misleading.
This website is really *bleep*ed when it comes to gaming news. I'm sorry, but you can't really expect the quality to be high when you have half-brain idiots posting what they think is news and adding their personal twists to it.
