So how much better is Super Smash Brother's Brawl compared to Super Smash Brother's Meelee? Quite a lot actually. You don't know how much until you watch this video which includes nearly 70 screenshots comparing the two.

Even though the comparison can be seen as unfair given the GC shots are taken off screen and some parts of the SSBB shots being pre-rendered (though not significantly better looking than in-game SSBB) the comparisons purpouse is not for competitions sake but just a generel showing of how much better SSBB looks compared to SSBM.

this is hardly news, still, we already know SSBB will (most likely) be much better

Even with the way the screens were taken from Melee, you can still see how much of a graphical leap Brawl is over it.

    December...

Tell me about it. They picked the craziest shopping month of the year...damnit Nintendo! Well it's not like they can do a major leap in terms of graphics, because that's not the Wii's focus. Perhaps they'll make another SSB game by the end of the console's life cycle and show off the Wii at it's best.

Some of the characters look different, but the main thing I noticed and liked was that in Brawl the attacks looked a lot better when compared in Melee. Great comparison video!

I love the detail in each character this time around.

I especially like the SSBB designs of Link and Zelda. They look fantastic!

Lol, I love how Kirby can't look any different. A pink sphere is a pink sphere no matter what system he's on

You know what, i say this means nothing. Looking at pictures is different than actually playing the game. I will make my assumptions on SSBB when i play it. Until them I say Melee is better.

It's really talking about graphics and not gameplay.

I thought Graphics doesn't beat gameplay, wow this is completely new.

I noticed in the Mario and Bowser screenshots that the fire looks more realistic...

Well of course the Brawl screenshots would be much better than the Meele that's a obvious fact.

But brawl looks kinda fun I might get it.

What is pre-rendered, exactly? So far, besides the first trailer, every video/screenshot was in-game. The first trailer looked the same, so I'm guessing it is real-time, even if it isn't in-game. And those pictures of them posing, those are the character models from the official website, and it looks just like the in-game models so I'm sure it is real-time as well.

Yeah, Kirby looks exactly the same ! Pikachu looks pretty similar, as well. Other than improved lighting and shadowing, as well as being smoother and better coloured, they look the same. Mario, Link, Zelda and Donkey Kong all look great, though.

Most importantly, this needs the online mode they promised, and the same great gameplay the original had and more (good) characters. The good graphics are always a plus, though.

SSBB is way better, new technology always wins.

Why wouldn't SSBB be better? That would be pretty shit if it wasn't.

We don't know the result, to be honest. Maybe Melee will PWN Brawl, maybe Brawl will PWN Melee. We will know when the game comes out .

Brawl will be good, but Melee is still the classic.

I love Smash Bros. I'm really looking forward to this. I haven't played Melee for quite some time, and some of those pictures are bringing up memories. I'm hoping the pace will still be the same in Brawl, because I love zooming round the screen with Starfox.

Yeah, it'd be a shame if they changed everything and the gameplay just wasn't the same anymore. It wouldn't be fun and Super Smash Bros. fanboys will be dissapointed.
