Although somewhat speculated to be true when rumors of A Boy And His Blob for the 3DS surfaced, it has now been reconfirmed during an interview with Matt Bozon. He states that they are "full speed ahead" with the development of the game and that "[the 3DS] is going to fly off the shelves".

However it has not yet been revealed if this is simply a port of the Wii/DS games that were released least year or if this an entirely new game all together.

Developer WayForward Technologies needs no introduction to Nintendo fans. The company has made a name for itself with a plethora of quality titles for Wii and DS, including Contra 4, LIT, Mighty Flip Champs!, A Boy and His Blob, and the just-released Batman: The Brave and The Bold. And fanboys’ hearts flutter with any mention of the Game Boy Color title, Shantae.
