Monster Hunter Portable 3rd is returning the favour by introducing Metal Gear Solid content! Monster Hunter previously made a collaboration with Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, so expect lots of great goodies.

Capcom are giving Monster Hunter Portable 3rd the royal treatment. Not only has the game spawned its own Monster Hunter-branded PSP with significant hardware improvements, it now also includes Solid Snake — or Naked, as some of our commenters pointed out — and The Boss from the Metal Gear franchise as playable characters.

Funny that you mention that. I know Xeros is deeply opposed to the idea.

It's not a playable character, its a bonus armor that makes you look and sound like them. There's a bit of a difference in the concepts.

I know that, though I didn't refer to them as playable characters. it was much easier and shorter to say that you can play as a character than "play as a metal gear solid character model". Makes more sense to say character as essentially it's not a costume, and does change the player model.

Yeah but with the understanding that it is a costume, people know that it's something that can be turned on and off whenever. Particularly because of how Monster Hunter functions, it'd be like having a pre-set character in an MMO.

Well it doesn't make much of a difference now anyway.
