New Rumors for Metal Gear 4 to be on 360

Even though Kojima states the Playstation 3 will be an exclusive to the Playstation 3 the rumors will still not give up. This new rumor is OXM that declared they had a reliable source that said Metal Gear Solid 4 was definitely coming to the Xbox 360 and is going to be run by a separate team, one that Kojima is not part of and will be available a few months after the Playstation 3 release of the game.

Alright, so Konami's secret, poetic announcement turned out not to be Metal Gear Solid 4 for the Xbox 360. It turned out to be Silent Hill 5 (which is actually bigger news for some people). Still, a good rumor never dies (and a great rumor comes true). While the MGS4 360 rumor has yet to come true, a reliable tipster tells us that Official Xbox Magazine has taken it upon themselves to toss another log on the fire. In the most recent Rumor Mole section, OXM declares that a "bankable source" told them that Metal Gear Solid 4 is definitely coming to Xbox 360. The game is reportedly being ported by a separate team -- which isn't headed by Hideo Kojima -- and should ship "a few months" after the PS3 version.

Considering the ever-mounting rumors and Konami's own comments on the matter, it's starting to look like the only thing missing is an official announcement.

    A "reliable" source also said Diablo 3 was going to be the big secret June 11th announcement, and that was WAY off.

    What Kojima said was kind of hinting at multi-platform, but it'll be quite a dummed down version of the game. It's like this game couldn't have been done as good without Blu-Ray...from what I hear, at least.

    Still would like to see it on the 360, and delay my buying a PS3.

    Hmmm yes I would really believe a unnamed source to a public announcement by the man himself (Sarcasm)

    Seriously why won't the 360 fans get it, MGS4 is to big for the 360 to handle it would require 4 disks just to squeeze it on, also MGS4 has sixaxis controls so what is the 360 going to do about that?

    And if they are going to release it on the 360 after the PS3 they would have to have been working on it for several months now so I am very skeptical about us not hearing anything

    Also let me point out that, with all of the topics on here about xbox failing why do such a thing and tell a rumor that it will be on the xbox.

    Why can't Microsoft get through their thick heads that Kojima wants this game to be PS3 exclusive only? It's like they want every single PS3 game out there for their console.

      Well you dont blame them really, they dont have any great titles other then Fable and Halo and to get some more it might acturally make current 360 fans keep there console instead of getting rid of them. But I do agree that they should give up with MGS.

      Exactly, I hate that. They have plenty of 360 exclusive games so why can't they just let PS3 have exclusive games?

    yeah i saw this news come out some time ago.. but like it says, its just a rumour..of course it would be good if MGS stayed an exclusive title all the way, afterall its hard to find titles staying loyal to a console for such a long time these days.

    1. Who would even want it if Hideo isn't involved (wouldn't that mean a whole different story?)

    2. Why would you want a game that's features have been stripped out from the PS3 version.

    3. What good can come out of this?

    4. Where do these people live so I can nuke them?

    5. How can so many fan boys lie to themselves about MGS being Exclusive.
