Good news for Prince of Persia/PlayStation fans as Ubisoft have announced that the classic triogy for the PlayStation 2/Xbox will be receiving an HD remake, exclusive to the PS3.

Ubisoft have today announced that they will be releasing the Prince of Persia Collection (title yet to be confirmed) next month. Aside from a visual upgrade to 720p, the trilogy re-make will also be receiving stereoscopic 3D treatment.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones will all be bundled a single Blu-Ray disc. Features including possible additional content and trophy support have yet to be confirmed, though as of January 2009, Sony made it a mandatory for all future PlayStation 3 releases to include the latter.
