Last night a rumor swept the interweb. Many reported Solid Snake as a playable character in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Now it's known not to be true. For the details read Ripten.

Last night various different websites claimed Solid Snake as a playable character in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Thanks to a Tweet by David Cox, we know it not to be true.

    Aww...

    That would have been a pretty awesome cameo to take hold of, possibly sweeping an entirely separate fanbase into this game.

    True especially since they already stripped away every element that makes a Castlevania.
