G4TV has awarded the best game of E3 to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as well as the best Xbox 360 game. Dtoid staff had a little time to play the game last week and they say it sure does live up to it's hype, so let's hope that it impresses all gamers. Expect the game to release October 30th for people that live in the US and November 9th for people in Europe.

G4TV has awarded Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as both Best Xbox 360 game, and the Best Overall game of the show. A special congrats goes out to everyone at Infinity Ward for all of their hard work! When asked for a comment, Grant Collier, president of Infinity Ward, thought deep and hard and added:

"We are extremely thrilled to be bringing home G4's top honor, among a showing of strong contenders, from this years E3. The team at infinity Ward has been eager to share their excitement in creating Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and E3 provided the perfect forum to showcase the title among our peers, retailers and media."

Your very own beloved Dtoid staff had a chance to play a little hands on and see the game in its full glory last week. It really does live up to the hype. While contrary to what you may have heard, there is no tentative release date as of yet but it will be coming sometime this Fall. Until then, there will be a beta release on Xbox Live coming next month. Erections.

I agree with this. Call of Duty 4 took me by surprise. I saw an early trailer from them and thought it was going to be terrible, that they should stick to WWII, but now...it's a must-own in my books.

There was hell of a good lot offered mainly by shock from this game, I guess it dose deserve it over the others.

Part of me isn't really that surprised that Call of Duty 4 got the Best of E3 Award. After all the gamepay videos I've seen and those new abilities (Deep Impact FTW), this game really is looking great.

    Gay...

Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone Two were much better. Call of duty is getting really repetitive now.

I think the reason it got that award is because maybe the played the game and liked it's gameplay. Sten, don't judge the game if you haven't played it yet. You might be surprised when it comes out.

Exactly. It's not like they showed MGS4 and Killzone 2's gameplay, but they did show CoD4's. I doubt it would feel repetitive because it's a new step in the franchise...modern instead of WWII.
