Another medieval-style MMORPG game, which includes some weird commands like a three-person hug (see image below) brings an interesting exclusive character distribution...and it depends on which retailer you buy it from. It's only for a limited time, but game stores such as EB Games, Best Buy, and even Wal-Mart will have a different exclusive character available.

Perhaps you've heard of Sword of the New World, a recently released action-focused MMO in a unique America-inspired "New World" setting. For the last few weeks, publisher K2 Network has been unveiling a number of new characters for the game that can only be unlocked by picking up a retail copy.
There are four special playable characters revealed by K2, but only one will be available with your retail copy depending on where you purchased it. Here's the breakdown:

  • Najib Sharif -- Exclusive to EB Games/GameStop, Najib is a balanced merchant who specializes in saber or rifle combat.

  • Idge Imbrulia -- Best Buy boxes house this armor crafter who likes sticking to bigger weapons despite her small size.

  • Lorch Furuholmen -- You'll need to brave the dangerous halls of Wal-Mart to pick up Lorch, a hunter with a powerful shotgun.

  • Rescue Knight -- This is the lucky fellow who's waiting inside the retail package at every story besides the three listed above. A sublimely balanced individual, Rescue Knight uses both swords and rifles while also functioning as a healer.

All four of these characters are available if you go purchase the game today, but apparently they will only be included for a limited time. You can tell which character you'll be getting for sure based on the box art (featured above). If you need help deciding if another MMO is worth a shot, hit up 1UP's preview and maybe take the game for a spin yourself with their free (but limited) downloadable version.
