Microsoft is still in the business of paying for timed exclusivity. it seems they have a deal with Bethesda and Fallout: New Vegas DLC will be a timed exclusive.
Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout: New Vegas will be getting its first downloadable content this holiday season. Unfortunately for PS3 owners, the same deal Bethesda had with Microsoft for Fallout 3 still applies to New Vegas.

I personally hate that fact, but it just seems like a lot of developers do this. I always felt that if you pay full price for a game you should have access to all content and I'd be absolutely pissed if insanely awesome games like these had content I couldn't possibly play. The reason this sucks so bad is because it has such a small target audience. Exclusive DLC appeals only to people with both consoles, and in that group only appeals to people who'd want to buy the game on the opposite console in the first place. How many could that be? To actually have DLC move consoles themselves you'd need almost every single game to have exclusive DLC - and while I said it was common, which I still think it is, that'll never happen. Besides, almost all DLC becomes multiplatform a couple months later, so what did it even do?
Plus I'm going to be really pissed when I bet Mass Effect 3 has some 'exclusive' PS3 DLC for a while, seeing as how it's one of my favorite series ever.
PS3 users should take solace in the fact that this is 100% undoubtedly just a TIMED exclusive being branded as an exclusive for a while.
...and you can't just not count Red Dead for no reason at all?
And tbh I don't care which one gets exclusive DLC; it's not something that should be done for any console. Every gamer deserves the whole game, as should be their right when they fork over $60. They're buying a game, not a faction registration.
