Ubisoft has released information on a Far Cry sequel to be on the PC and maybe at a later date arrive on the Xbox 360, the PS3 is yet unknown for a release. The game should arrive on PC's for Spring 2008.

Ubisoft are confident that with Far Cry 2 it will have the same impact on the FPS scene that Far Cry had, with gorgeous graphics and intelligent AI whilst playing the game.

Ubisoft has announced the upcoming release of Far Cry 2 for PCs. Ubisoft’s Montreal studio is developing the title, scheduled for a Spring 2008 release on the PC.

“Far Cry marked the beginning of a new era for shooters. An era of gorgeous graphics and of advanced artificial intelligence,” declared John Parkes, EMEA marketing director at Ubisoft. “We are confident that Far Cry 2 will have the same impact again on the FPS genre landscape.”

So what about gaming consoles? "I'm sure it will be on 360, probably a few months after it comes out on PC. At least, that's how it happened last time. As for PS3, I have no idea," said a moderator at the Far Cry 2 Forums. Keep an eye on this one! Far Cry Instincts Predator was released for the Xbox 360 last year.
