Out of Level-5 Vision 2010 today comes the surprise announcement of a confirmed collaboration between Level-5 and Capcom. Joining forces in this crossover game are Level-5's Professor Layton series and Capcom's Ace Attorney's series, where are puzzle solving Professor Layton meets defense attorney Phoenix Wright in Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney. The title will be released for the Nintendo 3DS.
Capcom is bringing back Phoenix Wright for another case but things are a little different this time around. His latest client is accused of being a witch and he'll be needing the help of Level-5's Professor Layton to prove her innocence.
Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney (as it'll be known in Japan) throw the two heroes into Labyrinth City, a strange medieval town where magic is real and impossible things have been occurring lately. The villain goes by the name of Story Teller, a man who can make things happen in the future simply by writing it down and by the looks of some screenshots, he is not afraid to make himself known.
There will be tons of puzzles to solve again with some sort of contradiction to be found in each one. No release period is set yet but fans who wish to play will need to get their hands on Nintendo's upcoming 3DS first.
