With the ever growing popularity of the Wii it is becoming harder and harder for consumers to get their hands on one, but alas there is hope. A source inside Best Buy who wants to remain hidden, has said that on July 29th, Best Buy will have a minimum of 12 Wii's advertised in their Sunday ad.

So you wanted a Nintendo Wii but you didn’t want to wait in line. You said to yourself, in a few months they will have plenty of them. Now you are finally ready to admit you were wrong. Ok, lets hear it … “I admit I was wrong”

Alright, enough of that, we have a gift for you, well sort of. According to a source inside Best Buy who has chosen to remain anonymous, this Sunday, July 29th the big box retailer will have a minimum of 12 Wii units advertised for sale in the Sunday Ad.

So get your DS, your lawn chair, and your portable coffee maker, because just like EVERY other time the store gets Wii’s, there is going to be a line and it will start forming early. Consider this an early Christmas present.

I still can't believe the Wii is really this hard to find.

This is coming from someone who got two on launch day himself

I got mine on launch date with ease as well. I pretty much walked in at like 7pm on launch and walked out 2 minutes later with the Wii.

Also I believe I've actually seen a few Wii's in stock around and my friend at EBGames told me they have Wii's in the back but have been told not to sell them. Then again I met his manager and he's an idiot.

I got mine 2 months ago and all my mom had to do was walk in a short line to get them. The Wii Boom is pretty much over, just call every hour to see if they have any.

my friend bought his used at gamestop a couple weeks ago. He didn't know why anyone would want to trade one in.
He traded it in today with plans to buy a PS3 Friday.

    WOW!
    trade in a wii?
    so early.
I do want a PS3 too though... but I think My PS2 still has a good year left of solid gaming. Few more gems to come out, and a lot of old games, I still love to replay.. and a lot of used ones at gamestop i'd love to beat.

I got one a few days before Christmas... They're pretty common in the UK now, at least... I see 'Wii in Stock!' signs everywhere nowadays.

I'm not surprised. There are only 3 in the Walmart where I live, and that's pretty scary since I live in the suburbs of Los Angeles.

I too am very surprised that this is happening. I know they are almost unbelievably popular but Nintendo seem to be poor at sending enough of them out.

Good news for those wanting them anyway. Good tip off.

I'm actually so angry right now. GAME have like 30 Wii's out back but ain't allowed to sell them in case someone wants a replacement for obvious reasons.

Luckily I got mine's off eBay, on the 21st of December.
