While the PS3 is selling slightly faster than the 360 in most countries at the moment, in japan the sales are skyrocketing, with the PS3 outselling the 360 5 to 1. Not exactly a huge surprise but still interesting

Data from research firm Media Create shows that sales of Sony PlayStation 3's console rocketed past the X-Box 360, outselling the competition by a ratio of Approximately 5:1.

It seems like things are going normal for the PlayStation 3 and all the Sony consoles in general with Japanese Sales.

    Worst article ever, no offense to you, Silver Mirror. But this'll just be something the Sony fans would brag about...Since the Xbox it's been clear that Japan and that console doesn't go together, because of their interests in game genres.

    Only reason the Japanese people don't like the 360 is from it being made by a foreign company. Oh and also, the controllers are WAY to big for Japanese tiny hands.

    If it was just for that reason, Rob, it'd probably be 4:1. Knowing the whole console sucks anyways, now it's 5:1.

    And yes, this article is obvious. In fact, another article says that 360 isn't selling at all in Japan, so this is just repeating that article in addition to a comparison.

    This can be explained very simply :

    Microsoft = American based
    Sony = Japan based

    Also Japanese audiences prefer genres that are mostly seen on the PS3 - mostly RPG's and such ...
