Call of Duty: Black Ops might be the biggest console release this year, but according to Raptr's rankings, it didn't even topple Halo: Reach in gametime hours during its launch yesterday. The statistic is an interesting reminder of two FPS franchises that are both destined to battle back and forth for the months ahead.

I'm slightly pleased, but I know this probably won't keep up for long. I hope it does but meh. A lot of people will still be playing Modern Warfare 2 and will be slow to transist into an environment where Heartbeat Sensors do not exist.

I can tell you I'm not jumping to play it as much as I would if it we're any other good game. Black Ops is good but the fact that it still carries the weight of the CoD franchise is somewhat of a turn off for me. But don't get me wrong, I love the game so far. Campaign was pretty sick, multiplayer is still awesome and not as bogged down by noobtubing/commando type bs. Haven't actually tried out Zombies yet aside from a little stint for about 3 minutes after the campaign on "Five".

Yeah I haven't tried zombies either. Nobody has, people seem to have forgotten it

A lot of people don't seem to even know it's there.

It's one of the 4 choices of the title screen, which also include Options. Hard to miss tbh

Well more people were playing MW2 as well. It's not a reminder of two franchises battling, it's a reminder that all the children will be getting it for Christmas.
