The Nintendo Wii has claimed back the number 1 spot for the best selling console of Amazon, bumping the PS3 back to number 2. On Sunday, Wii sales increased 400% when Amazon restocked on the system. Nintendo is hoping to ship 14 million units worlwide, this business year, while the PS3 hopes for 11 million units.
Nintendo Co.'s Wii home video game system took back the No. 1 sales position from Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 at Amazon.com over the weekend due a recent restock that increased sales for the motion-sensitive console. On Sun., Wii sales increased 400 percent when Amazon held a restock of the popular video game product for its customers.
The sales surge bumped the PS3 to No. 2 from a No. 1 position.
Nintendo expects to ship 14 million Wii units worldwide this business year, compared to Sony's 11 million PS3 units worldwide this fiscal year.
