Not only does BioWare create incredible games, they also know how to hype one too. With a teaser trailer containing hidden messages, a single screenshot and some mysterious tweeted barcodes, they have the entire gaming community guessing.

BioWare has released a video and a single screenshot of their next major project and asks us to stay tuned for more. That 'more' will come in the form of a world premiere trailer at the 2010 Video Game Awards on SPIKE Saturday, December 11th at 8PM ET / 5PM PT.

On top of this the mystery increases as there are two tweets on the BioWare Twitter account, biofeed, pointing to two Data Matrix bar-codes.

As much as I would love to be an announcement for it, it isn't Mass Effect 3. The rifle in the screenshot looks nothing like the weapons in the Mass Effect series.

My guess is that it's a press release for Star Wars: The Old Republic. The screenshot has the same polish as other trailers for The Old Republic:
