Sony: Microsoft's downloadable content is stuck in the past

The long-running back-biting played out by Sony and Microsoft continues today with Sony's Peter Dille launching a broadside in Microsoft's direction regarding stilted downloadable content when compared to the stellar offerings the PlayStation 3 apparently has for its users.
"...whereas our competition takes a bunch of old content and catalogs content from previous generations and offers that in a download fashion, our development organization are making games specifically for PS3," said Peter Dille. "When you download them, they're in 1080p, and they're showing off what's going on with Cell and the PlayStation 3 technology."

Oh, don’t you just love a bit of corporate handbag action?

    I certainly do.

Not sure though, I've seen some good new PS3 stuff but they too are releasing classics or older games from past generations on there too.

Don't know how productive this will be either.

Well...I just hate having all this content with a price on it 98% of the time. We need some deals, like buy a game, get 1000 Microsoft Points or something. Same thing for the Wii.

    These guys are hilarious.

Do they not know that you can get practically any movie and any TV show in HD format? Not to mention 99% of all XBL arcade titles are high definition.

Hmmm... wasn't one of their biggest selling points the ability to download Playstation 1 games? Lawl.

THERE'S NOTHING ON THE GODDAMN PLAYSTATION NETWORK.

There's only trailers and demos easily counted on your hand and toe digits. THIS IS NOT A "NEED" FOR A HARD DRIVE.

The PS1 classics and Midway classics were a good move (though they shoulda had MK3 instead of MK2). The PSN Arcades were damn good pieces of work too, like Fl0w and Calling All Cars. Not to mention Symphony of the Night that just got released (and played it all day on my PSP)...which shall be completed when I buy the Dracula Chronicles. Like always, I'm patient, they just gotta speed it up with production and bring the damn LBP and Killzone 2 Betas already.

No actual first-hand games coming to XBLA? Take a look at Ubisoft's War World. Mech-action game. 100 level single player AND up to 8 person multiplayer.

Oh yeah, Microsoft will be having some "present-future" level stuff.

doesn't sound like much of a punch... hmm..
c'mon Sony.. you're gonna have to do better than that..
Don't these co.'s know that trash talking other Co.s just makes you look bad in the end? Just keep it dignified and play your game, sheesh. As much as I like the PS3, I don't want to subscribe to this gossipy, childish, nagging, back biting drama among greedy, egoistic corporate mouthpieces. Keep it to yourself or make a reality show of it...
That goes for all three in the concole race.
