Ubisoft have announced that their forcoming DLC, Animus Project Update 1.0, for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood will be made available as a free download.

Ubisoft have today announced that there will be a free DLC for their hit game Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, and that it will be available to download from December 14th, 2010 on XBOX LIVE and PlayStation Network.The Animus Project Update 1.0 will include a brand-new game mode and brand new map for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Multiplayer.

      With all the hate for DLC if they release something they had probably planned for the disc anyway (or maybe just lock content on the disc and allow people to unlock it for free) suddenly they're heroes and people forgive them. I mean, these are the people who cut out whole chapters from AC2 to make us pay extra.
