World of Warcraft has hit a new milestone. 9 million subscribers. This vastly popular MMORPG has grown from strength to strength from the time it started in 2004 and is not looking to stop anytime soon.Now being played in regions such as North America and Europe, it has also spread to mainland China, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
Truly a game that brings the real world together in the mystical world of Warcraft.
In the run up to Blizzard Entertainment's second Blizzcon, the developer has announced that its tremendously popular MMO World of Warcraft as reached a new milestone, surpassing 9 million customers worldwide.

I'm not a big fan of them but they are so addictive sometimes.
But yes, it's a big number and surely there are either multiple accounts or deleted.

1) total number of accounts
2) total number of active accounts (not deleted, suspended etc)
etc..
9 millions paying customers is a lot seeing as how World of Warcraft is quite young compared to other MMO's.
But luckily, I never got hooked onto the World Of Warcraft fad. I'm not planning to anytime soon. Why is it that people get so obsessed with it?
