Rockstar has confirmed that the Playstation 3 version of Grand Theft Auto IV is a week or two behind the Xbox 360 version. Sorry PS3 owners, but due to unknown circumstances you're going to have to wait a little longer to get a hold of GTA IV.

Speaking to the gaming websites gather who were gathered at the GTAIV preview event, Rockstar has confirmed that that the PS3 version of GTAIV is a week to two weeks behind the XBOX360’s version.

The demo which was shown is from the Xbox 360 version of the game. The PlayStation 3 version is still “a week or two behind,” according to Rockstar. The build shown is 5 weeks old, and the frame rate has improved considerably since the last demo.

Three minutes and already 5 rated Something fishy going on here

That's bullshit, release them both at the same time, Rockstar...don't tell me you were bribed into saying this or something. Meh, not like I was getting it for the PS3 in the first place, but if anything, the PS3 version should have come out earlier. GTA became a major hit, and on Sony's console.

Rockstar are becoming a pain IMO. Like you said, if anything, it should be released on the PS3 first. Oh well..

They said its a week or two behind, doesn't mean that it will be released a week or two after the 360 Version. They still have roughly 3 months before the release of the game.

Either way, I think they will need to brush up on the 360 version. Judging by the second video the framerates need to be improved.

xsynergyx you are a twat, it says nothing about a delay just that it is a few weeks behind... That is no big deal yes if it is like 6 months then yes that is an issue but 2 weeks of development can be made up with ease the game will be out on all platforms on the same freaking day.

The approver edited the last part. Specifically, this part:

"but due to unknown circumstances you're going to have to wait a little longer to get a hold of GTA IV. "

C'mon, Existenz... since when do the summaries of the articles posted on Gamegrep actually match the original text? You should be used to this by now. I'm shocked.

There are agreements behind these decisions we don't even imagine of. Don't be so judgmental towards Rockstar; be judgmental but for other reasons

I was very worried after first reading but perhaps it's not so bad. They still have enough time to get back on track. I'm still getting it for PS3.

Might still concern those that were undecided and don't like the risk plus extra content. This might still win 360 a few more players.
