Sony's outspoken developer David Jaffe is gonna have a big announcement this Friday. Sadly, it doesn't seem like it will be a Twisted Metal or God of War related project. He calls the announcement a "very, very big change in my work life" which at this point could mean anything.

Current Sony Computer Entertainment America employee David Jaffe is going to spill an unspecified amount of beans on us this coming Friday, exactly at 9 AM PDT, on his latest... something. The Calling All Cars and God of War producer has been dropping hints about his next project for the past few weeks, posting photos of deserted offices and hinting at the signing of contracts that require large amounts of THC to properly celebrate.

If Jaffe hadn't specifically written that "the game a lot of you guys seems to think we are working on, we are not probably in reference to God of War 3 or Twisted Metal rumors. I'd have guessed he has something he and his crew had something up their sleeves to satisfy our car combat sweet tooth. But since David is only promising to talk about one of the games with which he's involved, I expect many disappointed fanboys.

Twisted Metal Black was the definition of revitalizing a franchise and I would love to see what they could do on PS3. Guess I'll have to keep hoping.

I doubt it. I would have though there would be a possitive outcome to whatever is going to be said.
