Sooo many Final Fantasy clones, sooo little time. The Shin Megami Tensei series has always promised great things thanks to superb storylines and compelling action. Yet it's never really delivered due to oddly banal gameplay mechanics and often stunted, somehow fractured characterisations. Can Persona 3 halt that trend on the PlayStation 2?

I was expecting it to do well after reading about it. The release I believe was pushed back until mid-August, which is a bad time for it with all these other, much more hyped titles being released close to that time.

I may pick this up, been hearing good things about it. Even though I'm a Final Fantasy Fan, I think I'll enjoy a different take on an RPG game.

This all sounded good and then I sore that trailer and I am not so excited as much which is a massive shame..
