In a post-E3 interview with Mercury News, Sony Computer Entertainment of America’s Jack Tretton presented his two cents on the nature of software development, hinting that Nintendo’s success in the casual gaming sector could mean upset for many developers.

Tretton: "They are touting casual gaming. Supposedly everybody is going to race over to casual games. The unfortunate thing is the fruits of those labors will show up two years down the road, and if the consumer tastes shift, they will find themselves all dressed up with no place to go."

Haha your saying that about a console manufacturer that has the market share, they don't have it yet in next gen but they have 124 million PS2 sales and it is proven that people go with what they know best so Sony are not worried they know once the PS2 owners upgrade they will be laughing to the bank...

Seems like developers are suffering more for PS3 development than they will be for Wii. Perhaps we should look at all the big budget titles companies are having to make multiplatform just to recoup some their development costs, since the PS3's market share is so small.

This is coming from Jack Tretton. The man who in a EGM interview ignored all the tough questions. He needs to stop badmouthing Nintendo and find a way to make a profit and make some money. I have nothing against sony in fact I have a ps2. I just think they need to stop patting them selves on the back for the ps2 and prepare for future.
I can just smell Finalblade coming to this soon to use no logic and insult all companies besides Sony.

Hmm Well here i am, though im not going to bash any system, in fact the wii is doing something more than just games like promoting Wii fit.

Sony however is just Taking time to make sure there system is in good order, unlike MS who had rushed there system thus being careless in there design. But If i get money down the road Xbox and wii will also be up for the table for me to buy, just not now.
