EA has confirmed that there will be a Godfather 2 game coming out in the future in a bid to cater for older gamers. Although no date or platform has been announced as of yet, it can be deduced from the previous godfather title that it will most probably be released for most platforms.

During a meeting with shareholders yesterday, EA Games executive Frank Gibeau mentioned that a sequel to last year's The Godfather: The Game is currently in production. According to Gamasutra, when asked a question pertaining to EA's handling of products for older gamers, Gibeau noted, "We make products like Godfather 2, Army of Two, Crysis - a lot of products that appeal to that older customer."

The game was quite impressive, but then again, I wasn't expecting much from it. Crysis and Army of Two appeal to the older customer? What point do they consider old?

The game graphics could do with a bit of touching up, but overall the game was great and I hope the sequel does it proud, although it'll be hard to raise the bar on such an awesome film series.

I played the XBox version and it was rather fun. It does need better controls, however. If they develop a Wii version again, then it would need some polishing up. The controls alone made it the best version, but the core game could use more time. I am looking forward to a Wii version since the Blackhand controls did look very fun to perform.

The previous title I did not think was all that amazing and the fact that EA are doing it again is nothing amazing to hear. I will not for one be waiting for this.
