  Like I said with Lair, their ratings aren't going to put me off from buying the games at all. It makes me look deeper into them to see if I really think I'll enjoy it, bad rating and all. I'm getting Blue Dragon after some research...Lair is a title I'd wait for, though.

  I personally like to go by ratings sometimes even though sometimes I may not and just buy the game. Ratings have saved me some money before and sometimes I may not go by the ratings and buy it anyway and be disappointed.

  Good point, it's always good to get some opinions on a product before purchasing them. I wish I did look more into ratings in the past...have wasted cash on a lot of mediocre titles.

  One magasine or website giving low ratings wouldn't put me off lots doing it would though, I usually check out game ranking since it gives the games average score.

  I wouldn't just go by EGM, but if other reviews have about the same scores then more than likely, the reviews are accurate.
  
  I would still rent or buy the game to see for myself how good the game is.

  I never thought Lair would turn out to be that great. I'll still need to wait to play it before I judge it completly, though.

  Reviews are nothing to me, they are a couple of persons points of view. If they were made to judge the type of game I liked then it would be different. Liar, would be the game im on about with this.
