New releases for week ending August 03 (North America and Europe)

mistermostyn | July 30, 2007 | News | PC Playstation 2
The summer software drought continues to leave the general gaming scene parched beyond compare as the paltry drip, drip, drip of weekly new releases keeps us clinging to the hope that the 'really' big titles are somewhere out there in the heat like a gloious oasis just waiting to be bathed in. Until that expanse of life-giving water eventually shimmers into view, we'll have to make do with the following...
If you’re armed with either a DS or a Wii (or both) then this week there’s likely something fresh on the retail shelves to pique your gaming interest. For everyone else – be you a Microsoft or Sony fan – there’s still scant little on offer as the summer weeks continue to drag on.

That said, Nintendo quantity does not necessarily mean Nintendo quality, and this week’s new DS arrivals include the likes of Bratz Ponyz, Drake & Josh: Talent Showdown, Picross, Glory Days 2, Pet Alien, and Spelling Challenges and More!. Not exactly a list that will inspire a retail stampede. On the Wii front, gamers with cash to burn can grab Mario Strikers Charged or Drop Off.
