It seems Aussies are now embracing video games more than ever, with the video game industry experiencing sales in excess of $1 billion during the past financial year and seeing 30% growth during the past six months alone!

The latest statistics, as compiled by GfK Australia, has revealed an overall market increase of 30% over the past six months, with over 5.5 million games and almost half a million gamig consoles sold since January 1st this year. Hardware sales of almost $150 million in the last six months was recorded, with $264 million worth of games being snapped up during the same period.
