If the console is infringement, then wouldn't the 360 also be infringing as well?

Apparently it's only concerning Blu-ray and High Definition. Everyone wants a piece of HD, huh? Lol

how did Sony's PS3 infringe on anything LG made? LG has nothing similar to the PS3? That is like Verizon blaming a toy company for stealing their shit. Good luck LG...

I don't get this at all.

Doubt anything will come of it though.

I'm guessing, from the little information given, Sony have filed some lawsuits against LG and LG has responded with this to show how ridiculous Sony's allegations are.

If any of you calling them stupid suspect they're actually serious about these claims, I have bad news for you...

I can be serious about any lawsuit claims, no matter how ridiculous they, does not make them any less ridiculous. LG has no case against Sony, it does not even make sense.

But the fact it doesn't make sense is the point of it, or at least it's highly possible that's the point of it. If you think they think they have a case, if you think they're not just trying to show Sony up, then you have a lot to learn about business. LG wouldn't be as big as they are if they were that stupid.

Yeah, except the whole issue with that notion is that filing such a suit is a waste of time and money for LG for something pretty damn petty.

But that's the point. Sony did this to them, they're doing it back to Sony. When Sony says 'Stop being stupid, you didn't own what we used,' they can say the exact same thing. It obviously isn't going to cost them a massive amount of time or money, or perhaps their thinking is to spend that time and money on this instead of spending equal time and money on a defence, but either way they're a big company. They know more about business than a bunch of random people on Gamegrep.

Of course the difference there is that you're completely taking a shot in the dark with this and Sony probably feels they had legitimate lawsuits, while LG is simply saying "oh yeah? Well here is a pointless lawsuit just to say screw you and cost ourselves some money". It is completely ridiculous.

Okay, so let's assume Sony's claims against LG hold any water.

WHY would LG do something like this? If your only reasoning is that they're stupid, you're highly naive. They have teams of people who together know more about business than your singular being does, and that's not meant as an insult but just a fact.

I'd laugh at such a ridiculous thing. However . . . we've all seen how the legal system can be and people can sue over ridiculous things and actually win. Indeed this is crazy

Haha, not too hard to believe, in a sue-happy world where people can sue for burning themselves on coffee, and for hurting themselves on the property of someone they broke into and were stealing from...
