As most of you know, Microsoft lost a lot of money this year, due to theie warranty extension from the "Red Ring of Death" and many law suits, but Microsoft's president of the Entertainment and Devices division, Robbie Bach claims that Microsoft made more money than Microsoft. He says their attach rate is 6.1 games per console and 4 accesories. He says that during the 7 or 8 months, people have spent $2.6 billion in the U.S. alone. That's double compared to the Wii or PS3 and the Xbox 360 is launched in 11 more countries, 37 worldwide.

Speaking to investors, Microsoft's president of the Entertainment and Devices division, Robbie Bach, did his utmost to step through the minefield that has been repair costs for the Xbox 360 and the division's lack of profitability. In doing so, Bach makes claim to Xbox 360 making more money than its competitors.

If you think about consumer spending on the platform, compare since the launch of the Wii and the PlayStation 3 to date, so a little over, what, seven or eight months, people have spent $2.6 billion in the U.S. on Xbox 360 all up during that period.

If anything that's probably only just enough to cover the costs of the warranty extension and what not.

The fact that there is a years more worth of games and accessories for the system doesn't hurt Microsoft either.

The thing of it is, the 360 was probably selling at a loss to begin with, the fact that it gets doubled with this warranty extension makes it far worse.

Obviously it's a typo guys. He's rushing to bring us all this ground-breaking news, so who has the time to double check a paragraph?

Anywho, I saw this at E3. Basically, after the launch of the PS3 and Wii, people have spent more money on Xbox 360 games and accessories than the other two consoles combined. In the long run, this could definitely pay off.

Well thats an obvious since MS gets money on there add-ons considering its high way robbery, to most. But as a console Wii has made more money than MS, and Sony is higher than MS.

I'm sorry, but anyone who supports the Playstation 3 as much as you do is in NO POSITION to call anything highway robbery.

At the same time, the Xbox 360 isn't doing so hot with the console. Gaming and accessory wise, Deffinentally s a winner. I have at least 18 games in my stock and 4 remotes. Not including all of the mics and other stuff.
