Activision dropped a bombshell during their recent investor relations conference call, announcing a new Call of Duty "digital content" studio and a Free-to-Play Call of Duty game coming to China next year.

Activision, while dropping news today of the discontinuation of Guitar Hero for 2011 and layoffs at DJ Hero developer Freestyle Games, along with the outright cancellation of the upcoming True Crime: Hong Kong, announced a new free-to-play game in the Call of Duty franchise for the Chinese market.
