It seems Activision is cleaning house and closed down 7 studios, who worked with FreeStyleGames on the DJ Hero franchise. The fate of DJ Hero is still unclear.

In addition to what will be a slow phasing out process for Guitar Hero and DJ Hero DLC, it was reported that 7 Studios, which was a part of Activision’s music game development team, has officially been closed. Several key employees voiced their disappointment on Twitter and wished one another well wishes in their future projects.
