Lemuel Lucas from Chicago, Illinois is being charged for first-degree murder. Lucas' girlfriend had a daughter and decided to take a nap while Lucas played a video game. Lucas had an outburst due to the game and dropped his girlfriends daughter, Kiyarah, on her head. He then picked up the 4 month old baby and shook her violently, causing brain injuries and bone fractures. To try and cover up his mistake, he placed a piece of gum in her mouth to make it seem like she choked. Kiyarah died on July 18th due to the injuries.
A man from Chicago, Illinois was ordered held Monday in lieu of $750,000 bail on a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of a 4-month-old Kiyarah Taylor.
Lemuel Lucas, 21, appeared in Bond Court and a judge ruled that he should be held on bail. Assistant State's Atty. William Bruce identified Lucas as the boyfriend of Kiyarah's mother Monday.
Details of the murder were sketchy at first, but today, the Chicago Tribune reports that on July 15, Kiyarahs mother took a nap, leaving her daughter in Lucas care. Lucas became irate after playing a video game and dropped Kiyarah on her head. Lucas then picked her up and shook her violently. Kiyarah was reportedly unresponsive, so Lucas placed chewing gum in her mouth to make it appear that she had choked.
Kiyarah sustained severe brain injuries and multiple bone fractures. She died on July 18 in Rush University Medical Center. The child's injuries are consistent with being violently shaken, Bruce said.

That guy is a freak, a nutjob and really does need to be locked away, it was bad enough to drop the baby, it was way too far to shake the baby afterwards causing more damage, but to then put gum in the mouth of her to make it seem like she choked...is just bloody sad.
My condolences for the mother.
I would very much enjoy watching him go insane
By the way what game was he playing?
Shame. I don't get why people ahve such outbursts on games. I mean, sure, yell a little, because you died just before an important checkpoint or whatnot, but don't go around hitting people or in this case, shaking the baby.
I thought the kid was sleeping and then startled by a loud yell and literally was scared to death until I read on.
