Young child dies due to man's outburst on a game.

Lemuel Lucas from Chicago, Illinois is being charged for first-degree murder. Lucas' girlfriend had a daughter and decided to take a nap while Lucas played a video game. Lucas had an outburst due to the game and dropped his girlfriends daughter, Kiyarah, on her head. He then picked up the 4 month old baby and shook her violently, causing brain injuries and bone fractures. To try and cover up his mistake, he placed a piece of gum in her mouth to make it seem like she choked. Kiyarah died on July 18th due to the injuries.
A man from Chicago, Illinois was ordered held Monday in lieu of $750,000 bail on a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of a 4-month-old Kiyarah Taylor.
Lemuel Lucas, 21, appeared in Bond Court and a judge ruled that he should be held on bail. Assistant State's Atty. William Bruce identified Lucas as the boyfriend of Kiyarah's mother Monday.

Details of the murder were sketchy at first, but today, the Chicago Tribune reports that on July 15, Kiyarah’s mother took a nap, leaving her daughter in Lucas’ care. Lucas became irate after playing a video game and dropped Kiyarah on her head. Lucas then picked her up and shook her violently. Kiyarah was reportedly unresponsive, so Lucas placed chewing gum in her mouth to make it appear that she had choked.

Kiyarah sustained severe brain injuries and multiple bone fractures. She died on July 18 in Rush University Medical Center. The child's injuries are consistent with being violently shaken, Bruce said.

Argh that's absolutely terrible it's bad enough he dropped the baby but then to shake it afterwards too? Jeeze I know games can get frustrating at times but taking it out on a young child is just sickening.

I've heard of bad cases, but this just takes the *bleep*ing cake. Poor baby.

That guy is a freak, a nutjob and really does need to be locked away, it was bad enough to drop the baby, it was way too far to shake the baby afterwards causing more damage, but to then put gum in the mouth of her to make it seem like she choked...is just bloody sad.

    My condolences for the mother.

21 years old and not only could he not control his temper but he directed it at another living being. It's incidents like this that reflect badly on the gaming industry.

He should be locked in a small room with nothing but the worst games ever made (eg movie cash ins, Sonic games) for company.

I would very much enjoy watching him go insane

By the way what game was he playing?

if the baby was sleeping on the bed how did he drop the baby on it's head? The guy is a retaded dirtbag for blaming the baby for his suckage on his games.

No, it was the mother that was sleeping. The man's job was probably just to play with the kid.

Shame. I don't get why people ahve such outbursts on games. I mean, sure, yell a little, because you died just before an important checkpoint or whatnot, but don't go around hitting people or in this case, shaking the baby.

Nobody let Jack Thompson see this. Or anybody against video games. If this guy is so *bleep*ed that he takes out his anger about a game out onto a baby then thats just his sadistic sick mind.

Well this person clearly shouldn't play games while holding a kid.

Is a real shame to read a story like this, it's frustrating for me to see people let themselves get into this situations. He must know from previous experiences that video games wind him up, therefore it would be wise of him to not put himself in a situation like this but noooo people don'tthink these days. Grrr.

That's just sad. Looks like videogames aren't problematic for just teens.

What a misleading title. An outburst is when someone yells suddenly without any real justification.

I thought the kid was sleeping and then startled by a loud yell and literally was scared to death until I read on.

This is sick, what must be going through the guys head. He must have known he had a problem, he should have gone to anger management a long time ago.
