Okay, little bit of an overexaggeration on my part, just implying that I enjoy older FPS's (Duke Nukem Zero Hour, Half Life, Serious Sam, Perfect Dark etc) over millitary shooters as I find them derivative to a point.

That being said, I play Black Ops on a daily basis, its not a bad game by any means, only that its just souless imo. I just find over-the-top shooters (Serious Sam) or more intellictual shooters (Fallout 3 eg) to be more enjoyable.

Watch Duty Calls for what I mean.

Played duty calls actually, I'm not referring to your dislike of CoD with most of IW gone I don't have much hope for what seems to be a cobbled together mess from three different studios.

I simply was commenting on the language chosen, at this point I'd thought most people were beyond using derogatory terms about sexuality as insults.

I have seen recently many journalists attacking the game for being too old school, for being too 1996 with none of modern gamings ideals. Surely this is one old school gaming ideal everyone can be happy with. A shooter that lasts 16 hours in this day and age is incredible.

On some forums theres alot of hype for this game, I mean a s**t load of hype, I dont buy into hype.

I enjoyed Duke back in the day but I don't have a short memory and will never forgot the series of awful sequel after awful sequel.

I will remain in hope that this will turn out to be good, I don't buy many fps's anymore but if something different but decent pops up I will give it ago, hopefully Duke will be this game.........AVP was the last game I hoped for this and that didn't turn out well.

Some of the sequels weren't bad.

This is Gearbox, they've done very good work. Which btw includes an upcoming AVP which I have little doubt will be better than the mediocre last effort by Rebellion and Sega. In fact I'd bet it'll be A LOT better.
