Sony has been taking the steps they can to combat hackers with the on-going war against the PS3. This started as a "homebrew" debate and has deteriorated into GeoHot making diss rap songs where he really can't rap and now Sony has responded with the official statement that they will BAN anyone who logs onto PSN with a hacked PS3. Sony has responded against the current unauthorized circumvented devices by warning gamers with some very harsh punishments. In the statement they have warned to cease and desist any use of these devices. The use of these said items consequences carry with them the guarantee of a PSN ban.
