PS3 set to become TV recorder!

Looks like the PS3 is set to become a TV recorder much like your Sky+ box [if you have one]. Like everything else it does isn't enough. I wonder when it'll be able to make my coffee.

UK, August 1, 2007 - Not content with the fact it already plays games, Blu-ray discs, old PlayStation stuff and music, Sony's New Zealand sales and marketing manager Warwick Light says that next year the PlayStation 3 is set to become a TV recorder rather like Sky+ or TiVo.

    Neat. I hope I will be able to use this feature. I got ton of room on my hard drive (as of right now) that could use some TV on it

    Awesome whats next for the Playstation 3. xD

    I myself always thought the PS3 looked like a toaster stood up..maybe thats next!

    Wow this is awesome is this for all versions. Hey i wonder if its going to be able to record my shows and allow me to save it on the PS3.

    Looks like Sony has beaten Microsoft to it, good for them I guess, however I know there are big plans ahead in the future for the Xbox 360 being able to be a TV Recorder, I can wait to see what comes of that.

    Next Sony will be letting us record what we have recorded onto DVD, I bet they have that planned.. hmmm

    But I gotta say this kinda sounds a bit mad but somehow might work. I just dont get the consept of recording tv with the Playstation 3

    A TV recorder for the Playstation 3 would be neat. Not anything special, just a nifty little add-on.

    I have TiVo, but for those who don't and own a PS3 it would be awesome. No way it's going to be free though, it'd probably cost as much as TivO.
