Activision: The Modern Warfare 3 countdown site is a hoax

Recently a website launched a false countdown for MW2 which is still running, the countdown is to end after 3 days and as it claims, Activision will release details about MW3. Geoff Keighly of GTTV investigated this and contacted Activision, he was told they no nothing about the countdown and it is a fan made hoax.

    Fan made dog tags too? Surely this is just Activision going the same stance they always do with "we don't comment on rumours". It just seems far too well made to be a fan made thing especially with the dog tags that were sent out.

    By a rough estimation(I don't feel like doing the math), it seems like the timer ends when the Black Ops Map Pack comes out for the PS3.

      I think you might be right, but why didnt they just come and say that instead of covering it up with all this 'hoax' talk. I guess it could be a hoax though.
