THQ confirms new Red Faction is in development.

THQ announced that there will be a third installment of Red Faction that is currently being developed. They have not stated what system it will be released on yet or a release date, but is has been suggested to be ready late next year.

During today's THQ conference call, CEO Brian Farrell confirmed that a new Red Faction is currently in development.

Nothing else was said. No release date, console, or development team. Although I think it is safe to assume we won't be seeing it until late next year, on Xbox 360 and PS3 and developed by the same team who developed Red Faction and Red Faction II.

    I so can not wait for more on this. One of the best games ever on Playstation 2. Though I never followed the story one bit the gameplay and Multiplayer mode was simply amazing. Played it all the time with my friend.

    I would even say RF > Killzone =D

    I played a Red Faction game a few years ago and I thought the graphics were good at the time. They should be great on the PS3.

      Indeed they were, they were simply amazing for there time.. And hopfully they can do the same for the Ps3. I so can not wait now ^__________^

    This is great news for those who were trying to find out about it at E3. Looks like they decided to hold it in a few more weeks
