GTAIV: Nine Reasons To Get Excited

GamePro has come up with 9 reasons why Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV got them hyped up and excited. They say it's a fresh start, it has the best virtual city, there's a rocket launcher, the production values are amazing, new shooting mechanics totally own the game, wicked soundtrack, no stupid cartoonish vibe, there's online multiplayer and that it's from Rockstar North. Halo 3 isn't the only mega-hit coming out this fall. Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV is poised to hit the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 16th, 2007. Here are the nine reasons we've circled this date on our calendars.

9. It's a fresh start.
No returning characters. No GTA3-era Liberty City. And none of San Andreas's clunky exercise and weight gain. Grand Theft Auto IV is clearly its own game, and Rockstar North is forging its own path without being confined to the universe of the older games. It's still the same world...but it's been re-invented.

    But the reasons they have added kinda suck, you got the rocket launcher back. Oh yeh that will make me buy it *sigh*

      That's what I was thinking.. Rocket Launcher =/= a reason.

      BTW I'm looking forward to leeching off my friend's PS3 when he gets this game.

    Mostly them reasons didn't make me want this game, I've never been a fan of Grand Theft Auto - it just doesn't interest me.

    I'm sick of the game's artwork, it isn't good looking. It limit's the graphic abilities to the game. It really needs a make over.

    They also need to work on the storyline better as well. I mean, the game play is gun but killing people gets old after a while.
