GDC 2011 - Gears of War on PS3? Epic Says They 'Would Love' To

The Gears of War franchise has been exclusive on the Xbox 360 since the first game launched in 2006, though Epic President Mike Capps said he would like it if the franchise also came out to the Playstation 3.

    Well that would definitely be interesting, Gears on the PS3 that is. I suppose there's always ways to worm through an exclusivity contract.

      It's definitely been done before. Ninja Gaiden Sigma II managed to exploit the loophole of their exclusivity contract.

      Though what I don't like is when developers wait as long as they do sometimes to make use of that loophole. Obviously the publisher sometimes enforces a time period in which no breach can be made, but if the dev initially had interest in multiplatforming something, they should just do it straight up, instead of always making PS3 owners wait.
