Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

It seems that Meta Critic users aren't too fond of the simplified changes to Dragon Age 2 from its predecessor, scoring the game between 0 and 1 to bring the score down.
User review scores have always been a great way for dissatisfied gamers to speak out against a product, and it seems Dragon Age II is the latest victim. Aggregate site Metacritic has seen the overall user review score for Dragon Age II plummet as angry fans have posted 0-1 out of 10 scores. The issue, many believe, is the new direction Bioware has taken the series, making it more approachable and action-oriented.

I've heard specific complaints about the combat being too simple, the game being too short, the art style not being identical to Origins, etc. In short, people are gonna bitch about anything they can (especially if they frequent 4chan).
The combat is identical to Origins on PC, minus a few tweaks here and there to iron out the wrinkles from Origins. It is exactly as complex as Origins, if not more so. As for the length, I'm at ~20 hours played; this is having skipped quite a few quests and I believe I'm nearing the halfway point.
Is the game perfect? Nope, but I'm having a hell of a good time playing it, and it's already made my short list for 2011.
truth be told its not like the big improvement from ME1 to ME2, but then again Mass Effect was always their main series while Dragon Age is like their side project series.
