Latest Japan Hardware Sales: PS3 Climbing

The latest hardware sales show that Nintendo is still dominating, (obviously) The DS doubling the Wii's sales, Wii at 77,169, DS at 150,494. The PSP doing not too bad at 35,068, the PS3 at a surprising 28,829. PS2 still selling at 11,757, the Xbox 360, to no surprise, at a low 3,872.

DS Lite and Wii maintain their dominance in Japan, although PS3 has shot up quite substantially most likely due to the release of Hot Shots Golf 5.

    HotShots Golf is most likely responsible for the rise in sales?...anything Japanese oriented does too good anywhere.

    You know could japan xbox sales affect MS in the long run. I mean 24,000 gap between PS3 and xbox.

      It did last generation... It got to a point last gen when Europe and North America were all Xboxed out and they seriously needed Japan, it is logical Sony have Japan they always have Japan every generation and they sell more units than any console each and every time... Microsoft need Japan and they don't have them.

    Its understandable why the 360 isnt doing well, the sbox games do not appeal to mainstream japan.

    Its not the games its just that the Japansese are racist against Americans and that includes American made products

      Why the heck did you bring this up? What evidence do you have exactly?

      Anyway, Japanese games are based of their own culture, that's why those games do good in Japan and vice versa.

    American products aren't good TBH. Japan is and has always been PS because it's a very good Japanese, non-American product.

    Wesk, Japan has good electronics... America has some better stuff than Japan and vice versa. The Playstation is made better than the xbox though. It isn't an argument, it's fact. I feel like an idiot saying that.

    Glad to see that the Playstation 3 has up-ted its sales a bit more after recent problems they have had in the sense of selling the console have improved. Wii and DS still own over there =/

    DS Lite is still Number 1, no surprises there.
