Resident Evil Revival - Code Veronica X and RE4 getting ported to PS3-360 in HD

Resident Evil:Essentials is being ported to PS3 and 360 in HD. The essentials pack contained Code Veronica X, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Outbreak. An interesting note is that Outbreak is not included in this new "Revival Pack" does this mean that the rumors of a new outbreak are true? Or does capcom simply hate us? Either way check the source for more info!

The latest issue of Famitsu has hit the shelves in Japan and it features four pages on a new Resident Evil title, Resident Evil Revival Selection. Well, okay, it's probably not a "new" game. What we're hearing is that the title features HD remastered versions of Resident Evil 4 and Code: Veronica and will be releasing for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. No word yet on if additional features will be added to the games, though andriasang has been told that Resident Evil 4 will contain Ada's "Another Order" mode.

    I know Capcom haven't announced an EU and US release yet, but they'd be IDIOTS not to, it's definitely coming out everywhere else and I can't wait to play Code Veronica X on HD!

    I forgot to add, Resident Evil Mercs 3D is coming out on June 2 for japan. Famitsu announced it alongside this. Now wheres outbreak dammit? *crosses finger for this 28th*

    freakin sweet, if it comes out for US anyway. hopefully they wont charge full price for 3 old games. $40 would be a good starting price.

    now they need to bring RE1 and 2 to XBLA and PSN!

      Pretty much all the RE's pre-gamecube era are on PSN. Xbox only has RE5, so for xbox users this Revival Pack is perfect.

      Honestly if RE:CVX HD looks anything like Perfect Dark HD it's time to get excited!

    This is great news. Keep the PS2 classics coming. Pretty soon I won't need my 60 gig anymore. Well, I still have over 40 more games to be ported, but so far I've been able to cross 9 off the list, not including the Team Ico games, the DMC games, the [rumored] MGS games, and now these. Even though I didn't care for outbreak, being able to plY through my favorite RE (CVX), will be a nice nostalgia episode for me. Haven't touched that game in years.

    Like I said, keep the ports coming.

    This is AWESOME.RE: CVX and RE4 are my favourite RE's.


    If only they would make a HD RE3.Nemesis is my favourite video game monster of all time so I would love to see a HD version of him.

      Nemesis was awesome.

      The whole idea of running into him without warning was incredible.

      You'd run into a room, hear "Stars...", shit yourself, then run back the way you came.

      I loved RE3... Great times to be had there.

    This isn't the only game coming out this year. Capcom announced "Raccoon City" and it'll show up in the may edition of oxm.
