The team at Mad Overdose take a stroll through New York in Cryteks latest Nanosuit and fights off alien scum in the return of the sci-fi series, Crysis. But has the multiplatform development meant a turn for the worse?
It’s no secret that Crytek have a high reputation for pushing hardware to it’s limits. In fact, it was only until last year that I had a system with enough testosterone to enjoy the original Crysis with the visual flair that was originally intended. While for many this may be considered a bad thing, there’s no denying that their games are more than just visual benchmarks – they’re solid titles by their own merits and often makes it hard to resist buying that new graphics card or computer upgrade to get the ‘complete’ experience. Crysis 2 is now available for PC and current generation consoles – but has Crytek outdone themselves once again, or is it just a dumbed down tech demo riding on graphics alone to make bank?
