Couple to marry on the servers of EverQuest II

There are enthusiasts, there are fans, there are fanatics, and there are fanboys... a tiered explanation of just how dedicated people can be with their favourite gaming pastime. But how should we classify a couple about to get married on the EverQuest II server? Blinded by love? A bit sad? Or just plain pathetic?

The one wish of many a father is that he one day gets to walk his daughter down the aisle and give her away to a sweaty-palmed fiancé standing in wait, at what he hopes will be a very special wedding ceremony.

GamerSquad wonders, however, how daddy might react if his baby told him that she wanted to get simultaneously hitched both in real life and online through the servers of EverQuest II.

That's just what one MMORPG-loving couple are planning to do during the game's annual Fan Faire event in Las Vegas, Nevada, which began yesterday and runs until Sunday. The ceremony will take place at the Grand Banquet on Saturday August 4 at 9pm.

I've seen online marriages in online games before but getting married in real life and the game at the same time is odd to say the least.

Not gay, but just mad. Why do people do this. It is bad enough some ways people are doing them nowadays.. but on a gaming server.. They just want there 15 minuets of fame I exspect.
