Sheik fans, you could rest easy now. In a recent interview with Eiji Aonuma, director of the Legend of Zelda series, it was confirmed that both Sheik and Ganondorf will be playable in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. However, according to Aonuma, their designs will be changed just a little bit to fit in the Brawl environment.
Ive been working with Sakurai for a very long time with this new Smash Bros., because the Wii came out and when discussion for a new Smash Bros. took place nobody could think of anyone other than Sakurai working on it. He was kind of the default, and I was very happy to hear that he would be working on it. Actually, my designers did work on the designs for Sheik and Link and Ganondorf. So they submitted the initial designs, and so it would fit in the Smash Bros. Brawl environment, theyve had to tweak some of the designs. But Sakurai has brought those altered designs to NCL. Were working very closely with the team of Smash Bros. Brawl to make sure the characters look their best.

Great so see Sheik return, though. She was my best character. I just hope Ganondorf isn't some stupid Captain Falcon clone this time, and a character that actually reflects the actual Ganondorf. I don't remember Ganondorf ever fighting hand-to-hand. He always used either his sword or magic, and in Melee he used neither.
