Well it makes a bit more sense when you read the article. Apparently they're going for a more steady supply this time around, rather than in big shipments.

not really, its more like, "the 3DS didnt sell quite as well as we had said it would so well just pretend like it was supposed to be like this all along".

they will keep selling steadily, i think the main problem is so many people already have one of the 5000 different kinds of DS's already and dont see a huge need to run out and upgrade right away. once the price drops $50-75 sales will pick up more.

I think a lot of people haven't bought into 3D being here to stay.

That, coupled with lackluster launch titles is going to make people stay away a bit. I think demand isn't all that high tbh.

They also picked a bad time to launch the unit. Well, maybe not. But the launch wouldn't have as much impact in mid March as it would if it launched in November or sometime in the fall.

Agreed. I don't really see the point of releasing it in March. You could of waited longer like November and release it with some good titles instead of Pilotwings. No offense to any Pilotwing fans out there, but that game is not a system seller.

Considering a lot of people were going on about the price, it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of potential customers just haven't bought it yet because they don't have the money, or they can't justify spending that much at this point in time.
